This weekend was my 30th birthday and I didn’t have time to make ANYTHING! OMG. So instead, I’ll give something away!
Here’s the skinny:
I love getting fresh ideas, so tell me the next kind of doll you’d like me to make and the suggestion that I pick will win my ENITRE PATTERN COLLECTION! Woot!
Entries must be recieved By Friday, May 30th and the winner will be announce next Tuesday, June 3rd!!
Sound good? Hooray!
The last time I had this contest this was born:
Can you top it?
And so you don’t think I just drank Sangria and didn’t work at all last week…here’s a peek at what’s coming out of my head for Pimp Stitch.
Bring on the suggestions!!!
What about a dragon?
I think you should make a Kangaroo or a Lemur!
i would really love it if you made a sloth – three-toed to be precise..!! β€
How about an axolotl? It is an endangered species, and it’s really, really cute for a slimy amphibian…
I would love to see an water collection! Like a seal, otter, whale, dolphin, starfish, jellyfish, or just regular ole fish! I think this would be great for summer!
I would love a pattern for a Sugar Glider, it’s like a squirrel but with wing flaps. My kids have being wanting one for a pet but they’re illegal in CA. I’d be able to make them each there very own legal pocket pet.
Loch Ness monster, Yeti, mythical creatures.
Quail? My daughter is suggesting a car, perhaps a VW Beetle or bus.
I really love the astrological cats, too cute,
but I was thinkin a baby of the month, something
cutsie, about 10 to 12 inches with adorable little
outfits. From what I see, you can pull if off, :).
Love your work.
I’d love to see a bat–not a scary bat but say a flying fox and it would rock if it was all wrapped up the way that they do when they are sleeping. Or better yet–a pair hugging!
I would love to see a peacock with it’s beautiful feathers.
what I would like to see are some little birds, humming birds maybe? I think you are just the person to create something so beautiful!!!
I would like to see dinosaurs.
What about a cute rattie – without the long nose most people seem to think they have
Or a really cute possum
I would like to see a flower collection (with smiling faces), for example a daisy or a rose.
I would love, love a cute little fairy! Or sets of different types of fairies, such as woodland, water, tooth fairy, etc. Thanks!!
I would love for you to make a crocheted guitar or another musical instrument. Thanks!
How about a big-toothed beaver?
Happy Birthday!!
I think a collection of cute bugs would be great! My first choice would be a ladybug, followed by a grasshopper, butterfly, caterpillar, lightning bug, etc. Thanks for all the terrific patterns…I always look forward to your emails to see what you’ve come up with!
Larissa
I vote for a ring-tailed lemur. They’re my favorite to watch at the zoo and they have the cutest faces. Not to mention you could make a really awesome long, ringed tail! Happy B-Day!
Meerkat!!! Meerkat!!!!
I’d love to see a unicorn to be honest. Could be done in white, with a lovely shimmery yarn for the horn, tail and mane. Ohh, I’m getinng excited thinking about it. Unicorns are so pretty and magical. You could do a whole magical theme with it:)
Happy 30th birthday too, hope you got loads of great pressies (yarn lol!). Enjoy
Emma xxx
Happy Birthday.. How about a penguin?
Hi ^_^
I’m a snail breeder (not as food but as pet) so I’d like to see a big Giant African Landsnail. Snails are so cute, so quiet, so paceful. I love snails, and expecially Giant African (Achatina achatina) ’cause they can have a 25cm long shell! (you can see them here:

BYE ^_^
How about a wombat buddy for the platypus to play with π
How about a guinea pig with some personality? Anything I’ve seen so far looks like a potato with legs!! I bet you could come up with something clever!!
I love that you make the chubby animals and I was thinking a cute little fox, big chubby head, round body, and beautiful equally chubby tail! π I won’t lie, I use firefox and there is a fox themed browser that has a little fox that was the inspiration! I think you could make the cutest little forest creatures!! Woody needs some woodland friends.
How about a sea turtle with a baby that can sit on it’s back?
belated birthday wishes…
how about a geckko…
I vote for cars/trucks – toys for boys!
Car, truck, fire engine, airplane, construction vehicles….
Happy Birthday! I love all of the patterns you make. Might a suggest a super hero…maybe Batman?
I would love to see a whole flower collection. There are so many different flowers that you could make a really big collection with them.
How about a Unicorn or a giraffe????
I would love to see a fairy, gnome or wizard. It would be great for you to do a series with that theme or even harry potter doll or characters from that movie…..
hope you had a wonderful birthday…
warmest blessings…..
I’d love to see a polar bear. One that doesn’t look like the average brown teddy bear kind of bear. Or a penguin. Honestly, I’d love a penguin and polar bear set.
Hippo birdies!
I THINK YOU SHOULD MAKE A SNAIL.
Happy Birthday…..enjoy many more!
How about a cute armadillo baby.
I’d like to see some type of fairy.
Something with very big eyes.
It should be so ugly that it’s cute!
squirrel, giraffe, budgy or cockatiel, frog or tadpole, horse, brownie, elf, wombat, orca, octapus, starfish, seahorse, tree(with a face of course),camera, worm, butterfly, caterpillar, teacup, teapot

A Lemur with a cheeky green! Chubby, bushy tailed and big-eyed cute stare on the face!!
Happy Birthday…All the way from Malaysia!!!
I’d like another turtle!
Happy Birthday! How about a dolphin?
Happy Birthday!!!
I would really Love to see an African Princess or some different multiracial dolls, you could definitely make up some really pretty ones
Horseshoe crab.
I think that a cocodrile or a llama! That would be really cute! =)
I vote for a wombat!
I think you should do a blue-footed booby!!! It’s hysterical that they really are incredibly blue!
I think an astronaut doll with a sparkly silver spaceship. Maybe with other accessories such as sun, moon, saturn, or stars.
For Earthbound how about a jellyfish, kookaburra, doctor or nurse?
I think you should make a wallabee, like Rocko, or a turtle that looks like Filbert or Hefer, the cow from the old “Rocko’s Modern Life” cartoon. Also I think a collection of old school robots, wrestlers or superheroes with interchangeable costumes (sort of like the CYOA Pokes) would be cool.
have you done a nest full of baby birds??? If not, I would like to see that–in honor of spring!
well, you’ve made a platypus, how about a cute spiky echidna to join his Aussie friend!?
I also was thinking a dragon. I know someone else has mentioned it so I am not worried about the prize, but finding a cute dragon has been non conclusive and I know you could do it!
How about a ladybug to go with a baby afghan that I recently made?
Here are my favourite animals that are under-represented in the knitting/crochet world:
1. Pikas [http://raysweb.net/wildlife/pages/06.html]
2. Red Pandas
3. Tapirs, especially baby ones
[http://www.rp-online.de/layout/showbilder/331-tapir_baby_mandula_zoo_budapest2_ap.jpg]
4. Capybaras
5. Meerkats and Prairie Dogs
(quite similar in a furry-standing-up-y way)
How about a WOMBAT! I think they are Austrailian and darn cute. My three year old looks like a wombat, that is if she was an animal:). We call her Meggi Wombat and she would love to have one. Your patterns are AWESOME!!! Thanks, Berr
You know what is awfully cute is the red-tailed panda. My brother got a stuffed one for my daughter b/c it’s his favorite animal at the Brooklyn Zoo. Here are some good shots: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Panda
((oops))
I meant red panda, not red-tailed panda
Puppy dogs or any kind of dogs.
Happy fruits and veggies!
I would absolutely LOVE to see a flamingo! I have only seen one pattern ever for a flamingo and it was for knitters – and it was hideous! A cute chubby little flamingo to make you think of tropical paradises – especially when the summer weather just doesn’t want to kick in yet!
Or . . . and I may be getting a little nostalgic here – but I would also LOVE to see something inspired by the 80’s fantasy movie, THE LABYRINTH. That funny little caterpillar in the beginning, the cutesy goblins, there’s so many ideas to be pulled from that movie – and let’s not forget how HOT David Bowie was as the goblin king yes?
I’d love to see a crocheted guitar or some other kind of musical instrument. Thanks!
orangutan! I think that their babies are just adorable and of course it would need a diaper
The Cotton-Top Tamarin. This cute little monkey is about the size of a squirrel and has a funny “little old man” kind of face with a fluffy white “cotton-top” on his head. Since I am new to crochet and amigurumi I will be happy to try any new pattern. Thanks!
I have the wonderful pleasure of taking my 20-month old son, Calvin, to work with me every day where my sister and I work for our Dad. In the front office, my sister has a large aquarium with 3 red-eared slider turtles. Calvin loves to help his Aunt feed them earthworms. He gets especially excited about catching bugs (beetles specifically) outside and carrying them in to feed to the turtles.
Ok, so with that being said, here’s my idea of a fun doll to make. … A cute little red-eared turtle with worms/bugs that you can “feed” him (take in/out of his mouth).
Otherwise, I’d love anything that I could make for my little boy to play with!
Happy belated birthday1 You are making me feel soooo old LOL!!
I’d love to see a pattern for a baby dragon1 Or a rat – I love rats! Or some “off the wall” type rabbits…………
Happy stitching!
Andrea
Happy b-day ! How about a mermaid doll! My daughter loves mermaids and wants to be one.(she thinks they are real)Use with worstweight yarn.Simpley soft is great, durable and washes up nice. You have great patterns and are Easy to understand. Thank you
a peacock!!!
or a swan!!!
a phoenix
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! drink all the sangria you’d like…it’s your special day!
this is for Tamsin: I just saw your comment about meerkats, and I actually found a meerkat crochet pattern the other day, maybe it was on craftzine or someplace? if you google it, you should find it. It’s super cute!!!
Happy Birthday,, how about an alligator?
Frankenstein, big-foot, or a baby gorilla…or a ‘bush baby’ (i think form Australia).
Hope you had a wonderful birthday! I would love a beautiful parrot amigurumi.
Thanks
Hello and a very Happy Birthday to you!!
I have 2 ideas (hope that is ok)
Both of these I cannot seem to find patterns to crochet and love them both!
Alpaca –wonderful fiber comes from them and they are so cute with their big ol’ eyes.
Weiner dog (dachshund or doxen) :)–they have such great personailites that I just know you could catch in your designs.
Again HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
What great ideas you have in front of you to pick from *yikes*
How about an alpaca. They are so cute and very popular now.
Or, a flamingo with assorted hats to wear along with maybe clothes.
Happy Birthday!
I think you should do a collection of Endangered animal series with a little bio attached to the little guys. A percentage of the sale of the patterns could go to an angency that protects them.
You can also do a Flora and Fauna series. Cute Flowers, Cute Leaves, Cute Apple Trees, Cute Fir Trees, etc..
I know that two for ya.
I’ve had a nice idea, I think… You could do a cuttlefish that change colour like a real one!
I explain…
You can do a “cuttlefish base”, let’s say in light brown, for exemple.
Now, a cuttlefish has a flat back and a flat head, hasn’t it?
You can now do some separate and colorful “back plates” and “head plates” that you can attach to the cuttlefish’s back and head with little buttons (may be snap buttons).
In that way you can have a cuttlefish that change color, because when you want to change colour to the cuttlefish you can just take off the and replace it with another one of different color.
^_______^
I’d love a similar thing.
bye and happy birthday!
errata corrige
“take off the and replace”
is
“take off the plates and replace”
Thanks Vicky! I guess you mean this?

Can’t decide if they’re hilarious or a bit scary-looking! π
Would love to see an Anteater. Happy Birthday!
Oh I sent a reply to the newsletter but maybe i was supposed to put my entry here.
I would love to see a large hedgehog with some sort of accessory like a fruit.
I just love hedgehogs
I would love to see one of those colorful poisonous looking tree frogs, with big huge eyes! Or a colorful gecko or lizard, with big huge eyes!
Happy Birthday!!! How about a cute little weasel, a ferret or mink, they are so cute and they are very funny as well. They hunch their backs up and do barrel rolls all over! π I had two of them and they are no longer with us but my gosh they are adorable animals. A skunk with a furry tail and a mohawk would be cute. A donkey would be funny too!! Hee Haw!!
Happy Birthday!! Once my brain got going I came up with a whole list but here are a few.
Military Nomes, Alpaca, Llama, Goat, Warthog, Camel, Cape buffalo.
What about an entire chess set? It would entail making a king, queen, tower, horse, etc. etc. and the chess board. On other words a magnum opus!
Happy birthday!
A chinchilla!
Ice cream cone… i’m hungry… can you tell? LOL!
Hmmmmm, I’m going to vote on a high heel shoe. I miss wearing heels.
A badger – mostly because I’ve been trying to work out a pattern but have failed miserably.
I can’t believe you made a platypus. That is really, really cool.
